We aim to ensure that the children and the site are safe and secure at all times. There is only one exit and entry point to the school, which remains locked during the school day. Visitors need to use an intercom to gain access. The site is also covered by CCTV 24 hours a day.
We work closely with the Local Authority on matters of health and safety and this forms a regular part of staff meetings. Risk assessments are undertaken where necessary and all educational visits must be approved through Evolve. Any matters arising should be immediately reported to the Headteacher.
We have a new car park and one way system in operation. Parents are able to use the car park, although please follow our traffic management plan. Gates are closed at 9am promptly, and reopened at 2.30pm. During the day the gates are closed, but they are not locked- please just open and close them after yourselves.
No dogs, with the exception of guide dogs, are allowed on the school site and there is also a strict no smoking policy in place.
As the site is quite large, parents must ensure pupils are closely supervised and leave the school site safely and quicky after collection. Due to our insurance pupils are not allowed to access any of the play equipment without staff supervision.
